This study, titled “Feasibility Study of Ecotourism Development in Kalitalang, Mount Merapi National Park, Klaten, Central Java,” evaluates the potential and feasibility of developing ecotourism in the Kalitalang area. Known for its biodiversity, diverse flora and fauna, and scenic landscapes with clear views of Mount Merapi, Kalitalang offers strong ecotourism appeal. The research was conducted in July twenty twenty-five in Sambangrejo, Balerante, Kemalang, Klaten, Central Java, employing a quantitative approach with data collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving visitors and managers. Findings reveal that Kalitalang Ecotourism is highly feasible for development, supported by its natural beauty, panoramic views, and adventure-based experiences. These attractions particularly resonate with younger visitors, who form a significant portion of the tourist demographic. Despite these strengths, challenges remain in the provision of adequate accommodation and basic infrastructure, including restrooms, waste management, and directional signage. The study emphasises the need for integrated waste management initiatives and educational programs on recycling. In conclusion, Kalitalang holds substantial potential for ecotourism aligned with principles of sustainability and conservation. Enhancing infrastructure and services is essential to ensure visitor satisfaction, long-term environmental preservation, and socio-economic benefits for the local community.
