Manajemen mutu pada dasarnya adalah suatu instrumen penting bagi suatu perusahaan. Perusahaan tidak terikat oleh kapasitas dan umurnya, akan memerlukan Manajemen Mutu untuk memenangkan kompetisi dengan kompetitor lainnya. Perusahaan akan terus dituntut untuk berinovasi didalam menghasilkan produk-produk yang bermutu. Setiap pelaku bisnis (seluruh karyawan, dari basic level sampai top management), harus memenangkan kompetisi, dengan cara memberikan perhatian dan melaksanakan komitmen secara penuh kepada mutu. Konsekuensi dari pelaksanaan Total Quality Management oleh perusahaan adalah akan meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia yang kita miliki, peningkatan ketrampilan dan kemampuan karyawan untuk menguasai bidang pekerjaannya, kemampuan karyawan untuk menganalisa gap yang menyebabkan kegagalan penyampaian jasa kepada tamu atau konsumen, dan pada akhirnya keberhasilan pelaksanaan Total Quality Management ini akan bergantung kepada komitmen seluruh karyawan untuk melaksanakannya dengan baik (Optimism and Positive Thinking)
