Abstract

Community Empowerment of Ngestirejo Tourism Village, Gunung Kidul through Beverage Innovation-Based Mixology Training. This community service activity aims to improve the skills and creativity of the Ngestirejo Tourism Village community in Gunung Kidul through mixology training. The training was conducted using lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, involving lecturers and practitioners from the Yogyakarta Tourism Academy. The material provided included the history of coffee, the basics of mixology, drink-making techniques (stirring, shaking, blending, muddling, and straining), as well as practical training in making innovative coffee drinks, such as Melon Coffee and Coffee Lecy Vanilla. This activity not only successfully introduced the basic concepts and techniques of mixology, from equipment use, mixing techniques, ingredient selection, to presentation aesthetics, but also encouraged participants to innovate by creating signature drinks that utilize the potential of local ingredients. Overall, the mixology training achieved its service objectives, namely improving technical skills, encouraging innovation, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of the community. This activity is not only an educational tool, but also a strategic step in strengthening the village's position as a creative, independent, and highly competitive tourist destination.
